Expressions of Interest – JETS Coordinator and Tutors

Beenleigh Theatre Group is proud to offer a number of positions for our JETS Program.  The JETS (Junior Entertainment Theatre School) program is designed to fuel young people – aged between 5 and 18 – who have a strong passion and love for the arts and entertainment industry.

JETS Director and Coordinator Position

Expressions of Interest are called for a JETS Director Position, starting in January 2017.  This position will involve coordinating our very popular and busy JETS program, as well as working closely with our tutors to deliver an ambitious curriculum that engages students and provides opportunities of growth.

JETS Tutor Position – PAID

Beenleigh Theatre Group is seeking multiple tutors to teach theatre to students (aged from 5-18-years) for 2-3 hours a week.  Classes run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings throughout school terms.  This is a perfect opportunity for someone wanting to develop their drama teaching and directing skills.  The JETS Tutor will engage in the community, by being a part of the theatre family and focusing on teaching young professionals about theatre etiquette and performance outcomes.  They will have creative control with input into content, performance outcomes and productions, in a rapidly growing theatre program.

This position will begin in February 2018, with interviews taking place in mid-December.  The JETS Tutor will be required to teach at Beenleigh Theatre Group at Crete Street Theatre (and within some of its surrounding rehearsal spaces).
