The JETS program runs throughout the school terms and seeks to empowers young people who wish to learn or improve their Stagecraft and theatre etiquette and of course, perform. At the close of each year all ages groups will work towards a public mainstage production that covers all elements of theatre. The program currently has over 100 students from all different schools in the Gold Coast, Beenleigh and Brisbane areas spanning from 5 – 18 years old. We will be taking new students into the program up until halfway through the first term of the school year as there is a high demand for enrolments.

For more information on the program or to see what has taken place in previous years, you can also visit our Facebook page of ‘Beenleigh Theatre JETS’.

About JETS

The Junior Entertainers Theatre School (JETS) program is conducted during school term time.  In 2015 we also included an optional musical theatre component culminating in our first full scale JETS musical of Narnia.

The JETS students learn all aspects of theatre craft including theatre etiquette, audition technique, singing, dancing and acting.

A showcase is presented at the end of each semester to demonstrate the skills they have been studying over the past two terms.

The JETS program also teaches many ‘non-theatrical’ skills such as commitment, team-work and self-confidence. The program assists many students to progress to the main house productions the theatre showcases every year.
